We are back up after being down for the past few days. An update with PHP broke some of my code. It's now fixed.

A new vocabulary lesson has been added pertaining to words you may find in a kitchen. These new words are now being referenced from the version 3 English and Indonesian dictionaries (a work still in progress).

We added a new lesson tonight about Indonesian pronunciation. We will be using International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to represent Indonesian sounds in words. A few translators/tools along with games will be added shortly.

I started building simple translators for finding words in both base and affixed forms. The meN- translator is now available under the 'Tools' section. I will add other affix forms during the next few weeks.

Two new vocabulary Flash games have been added under the Lessons/Vocabulary section. One game quizzes your written responses and the other game lets you shoot at the correct answer. More English and Indonesian language games and lessons are on the way.

I created a short lesson about the Indonesian alphabet. There is a rocking Flash program attached to it. Try it out. I am starting to learn animation. I have a long way to go, but it's a start.

New Website Journal and Date Translation Functionality

I just finished writing a simple journal editor to help me keep track of this website's progress. The newer entries will be displayed on the home page and the older entries somewhere else.
I enhanced my existing DataTime.php class to translate any UNIX epoch timestamp to English and Indonesian. I will eventually write the same in Flash and JavaScript.
The v2 Dictionaries are Back!

After being offline for a few months, I finally got the v2 English-Indonesian and Indonesian-English dictionaries back online. I rewrote the client code to always place exact matches at the top, even for similar searches. The database was also optimized for quicker searches.
I don't expect to do much more work with these versions. Instead, the v3 dictionaries should be released early spring 2007. They will rock!
