## Lesson: The Indonesian Numbers

Counting in Indonesian is as easy as one, two, three. Both the English and Indonesian languages use the same symbols to represent numbers, e.g. 1, 2, 3, etc.; however, the two differ in how the numbers are spoken. Fortunately, you really only need to learn a small handful of words to be fluent at counting. You should push yourself to learn to do math in you head using Indonesian words instead of English words. This will really payoff later when you go shopping at the mall, bartering for a cheaper price at the marketplace, or exchanging money at the bank. You can practice reciting Indonesian numbers with the flashcard program at the end of this lesson below.
